Let's get dirty!

First, get your mind out of the gutter and let's talk!


Trying to keep a strong immune system is a full time job these days! Believe it or not, getting dirty may be a great way to do the job. What we mean is getting in contact with the bacteria found in good ol’ dirt, (soil ie., gardening and playing outside)! We have become a society that is too clean, (on the inside with the overuse of antibiotics and on the outside with the overuse of antibacterials). Our gut and skin need to be able to recognize the difference between good and bad bacteria in order for our immune system to get the right signal to fight.


When cleansing the skin, the use of natural soaps is best, as opposed to the many antibacterial, harsh surfactant/detergent soaps out there. Another great option is to use products like facial care, deodorants and toothpastes that include probiotics. Probiotics coax the body to do an efficient job by not suppressing its ability to fight germs and they do not kill all bacteria, good and bad.


When formulating, we take a deep look at the job of each ingredient and what we want each product to achieve. Including probiotics in our products is always a great way to balance and smooth the skin in our skincare, keep good bacteria thriving in the mouth in our oral care and clarifying the scalp in our hair care.


There have been many studies showing how bacterial and viral strains are getting stronger and more resistant to antibiotics so, why not let our bodies do what they were made to do naturally?
